The arrowhead is permanently mounted on a second piece of thick clear acrylic that has a brilliant blue mirror finish applied to its top surface and sealed underneath the clear layer.  When viewed from any angle, the rich sapphire-blue mirror reflects upward through the full thickness of the clear arrowhead, filling the entire award with a deep, radiant blue glow. 

Recipient name, title, achievement, date, and logo are precision laser-engraved directly into the front surface of the clear arrowhead.  Engraving appears bright frosted white and is dramatically backlit by the blue mirror reflection, making text and logos appear to float and glow with a cool, luminous effect.  Fine details and small text remain crisp because the thickness and mirror create exceptional contrast.
